There is a group of people in Lembeh who don't get the recognition they deserve...the dive guides.
At every resort in the area, the guides take people out just about every day of the year to look for marine life...visiting the same sites, looking for the same animals, enduring bad weather and cold water, and often putting up with difficult visitors.
I've known some of the guides at Kasawari for years, going back to the days when diving first started up in the area. Their enthusiasm, dedication and friendliness never cease to amaze me.
I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that the dive guides are a major reason why diving in the Lembeh Strait is such a rewarding experience.
Here's a portrait of a few of the fantastic guides at Kasawari, whom I'm honoured to count among my friends. Thanks for your help and patience guys!
