Managed to process another photo from blackwater diving in Palau recently. It's difficult to ID juvenile fish, but I'm reasonably certain this is a juvenile blotched bigeye or glasseye (Heteropriacanthus cruentatus), thanks to ID assistance from Bob Halstead.
It was 3-4cm long (the fish, not Bob).
